"My wife and I visited the Habesha with friends for dinner.I must be honest here, that I wouldn't have picked an Ethiopian restraint and really didn't know what to expect.Luckily our friends had been a few times and we let them pick all the nights meals.The staff were friendly and it was a surprise when the waitress came around with the wash basin and a warm pitcher of water. We all washed our hands and I realized then and there that there was not cutlery on the table.The food was very nice as we all tucked in with our hands and the bread which was more like a crape. The food was similar to Indian if you like spice. My wife and I love spice, so we were very happy.The food was very filling and quiet reasonably prices, the only negatives being the size of the restraint and the staff hurrying us up for the next sitting. This was very disappointing as we haven't see these friends for quiet a while."

"Had a later booking but they graciously allowed us to do an earlier order. The entrees of oysters and scallops matched well with the verdelho, as it had a neutral palette that allowed the consumer to easily adjust to a red wine base with the duck and well aged steak. The duck was cooked perfectly, thick slices and juicy. The steak, cooked as you prefer with the assortment of small vegetables and truffle potato mash. The Tempranillo added another bonus flavour towards both duck and steak. 5/5, enjoyable experience and would do again."

"We dined for breakfast on Sunday mid morning, we were pleasantly surprised with the great service even though they were very busy nothing was a problem, staff were attentive and friendly, my wife is gluten free celiac staff were very helpful with dietary concerns and...she was very happy with her meal, some very healthy options for breaky on the menu and we all agreed the overall package was great. would highly recommend for breaky and coffee. we will be back. PS would recommend that you book ahead this place is very popular."

"Loved the vibe of this place. The waitress was really friendly as well. We ordered the salmon, buttermilk chicken, chicken waffles and THE CRAB CAKE. Yes, the crab cake was absolutely incredible, destroyed it after getting a first taste. The salmon was delicious as well, however it kinda didn’t live up to its name (crispy skin salmon), might be because of the sauce drizzled on it. The chicken and waffles were absolute bomb as well. The buttermilk chicken is the same chicken on the waffle which means it’s good Will definitely be back when I have the chance to."

"Best Cafe in Warners Bay Newcastle Region!!!! Service is super nice and friendly, always accommodating with special request and will go out of their way for their customers, as being one of those special people that have specific request with food, around gluten, dairy and gains. They work around my specific request tomato a great meals well suited for my needs, One of the healthiest cafes around the Newcastle region also, I recommend them to everyone that loves food and also watches what they eat, healthy and tasty !!! Check them out and you will be pleasantly please and satisfied with their food and service, the meals are also well portioned as well, with lots of variety for Smoothies and Juices for the hot summer days ahead : Thanks again Steve and team for providing us with a great Cafe to count on !!!"
