"Loved the food and our server was wonderful! I highly recommend the octopus appetizer! The only reason I didn’t leave 5 stars is that the hostess was very cold to us when we walked in with 2 children before 5pm and seemed shocked we didn’t have a reservation despite the restaurant being empty the entire time we dined. There were also zero people dining here with children and most seemed unhappy we were there, which felt odd being that we dine in much nicer restaurants than this with our children and have never had this attitude. I wouldn’t dine here with children if you are traveling through- maybe get carry out or try lunch. "Great view of the sunset. Absolutely a beautiful complex... takes up a whole block! Woman owned 2nd oldest brewery in Asheville. You can see the packaging line below when you go to the third floor in the mansion. Lots of space for social distancing. Many fresh air — outside the picnic tables and terrace areas. Award-winning beer. Amazing gluten-free ginger beer (I cannot have wheat) Hard Cider and wines too! Iconic alcohol-free root beer, that's the best I ever had. Cool stone table for young and old. Elevator for those who do not want to climb four flights of the stairs. Close to several parking spaces."
