"We'd decided to go to Green Lane fish and chip restaurant last Friday having had a busy day.We had been intending to have the rag pudding but when we sat down Paul the owner manager told us they were doing a Christmas special which he highly recommended as did all the staff. So we both had the Festive pie with chips,mushy peas and gravy. The pie included Turkey,sausages,stuffing in gravy and was absolutely delicious.We both really enjoyed it but I struggled to eat it all as it was quite a generous portion. As usual the staff were very friendly and helpful. The service has always been excellent and overall value for money."

"Called in for a breakfast Friday morning and was not disappointed. Really freindly staff and a cracking breakfast. Swapped my tomato out for some extra mushrooms without a fuss and gave the dog a biscuit. Can't fault the place hope to be back soon Thank you"

"We went for a family meal yesterday and absolutely loved the food. The owner was really helpful on recommending dishes and really enjoyed chatting to him. We will be going back again as this is very authentic Portuguese food and I need to try more dishes from the menu. "What a wonderful little jewel of a place. I'm a Yorkshire girl who's always looking for great vegan food where I'm going. happy cock is my best friend! my partner is from wigan and I found out about the coven in front of a dae over the coven but had not the opportunity to visit until this weekend. now I have to come across the border to lancashire more often, as this place is exceptionally good and I want to go every time I want to visit the shiny! wow, eating was amazing! it is such a beautiful atmosphere in caffe and the personal are absolutely beautiful. especially the owner they can say is so passionate about what they do. I loved how there was no real menu as such, only names of the dishes on the board and the owner tells them everything about them, like a live menu! it was nice and so a nice, friendly and cozy culinary experience. I can't wait to come back."
