Mestizo Bistro & Craft - ZIHUATANEJO

We have eaten here probably 5or 6 times, since coming down this year, and noticed on the last visit, that ownership, or chef seems to have changed. Although the burgers were still very tasty, they didn’t seem quite as good as before. One person in our group had the Ravioli in Pistachio sauce, and received 3 small raviolis, and a bunch of shrimp. Shrimp aren’t even listed in this dish. New waiters, and some different cooks, may be the reason for the changes in dishes. We’ll give it another try.

We discovered this tiny little place downtown Zihua and have been there twice now. Burgers, salads, margaritas and wine all delicious It’s nice because you can order a salad and add a protein of your choice and your husband can have the ultimate burger!! We have tried all 3 salads and all are great. Not many tables and the kitchen is tiny, hot but spotless Definitely recommend!

Tiny little mom and pop restaurant with excellent food! We stumbled on this gem while walking around El Centro and noticed they serve local craft beer. My husband is a craft beer nut so we had to try it. Were we ever glad we did! Excellent food and service and the beer was quite good too! We will be back!

Stopped in for supper, on the recommendation of a fellow traveller, and was certainly impressed with the quality, and value of this small restaurant. He had suggested the Supreme burger, which is what I had, and it was by far the best burger I've had here in Zihua. My wife had the Honey Chipolle Wings, and enjoyed them also. The burger was prepared well, with lots of toppings, including an onion ring on top. You have to seriously compact this burger to get it in your mouth. Potato wedges came as the side, and they were spiced nice, and tasted great. Streetside dining, with friendly service, made this a fun dining experience. We will be returning again, . . . And again!
