"Last night our trip so that we wanted a nice meal and the estuary bistro was a perfect choice. really beautiful interieur. modern, comfortable, felt intimate and special, but still relaxed. many gluten-free options. about half of the menu was available...improved for free. we shared a bruschetta to begin. three gluten-free sowed brot with pesto, feta, tomato and salat, with a beet root relish. delicious. both my partner and I actually wondered if the brot was really gluten-free: very impressive. warm tomats really made it for me. I had the ribeye steak and my partner chose the lamb. Both were beautifully cooked. I know steak is not very adventurous, but cooked as it tasted super. large fat hand cut chips were crisp and fluffy. my partner polished her lamb so I suspect it was at least as good as my steak. we chose a beautiful syrah to accompany the meal. the service was great from start to end and the place had a really nice ambiente. we were both so glad that we had decided for our dinner in the estuary. it was really the perfect end of our trip."

"I described this place last year as a 'Railway Inn with a Heart of Gold '. Its a small pub hotel on the main road opposite Foxfield Railway Station. It has four bedrooms and has a genteely 'run down ' feel to it. It is simply one of the best pub hotels in the UK. The owners have a passion for beer and this is reflected in the wide choice available all hand pumped bottles? and of excellent quality. Don 't ask for fizzy beer here you will probably be escorted off the premises by the drinkers. There is a very good selection of whiskies. Food is served up until 7.00pm no orders after then. Meals are substantial. I opted for a Yorkshire pudding, which was a good size. This came with plenty of decent roast beef and assorted vegatables, with proper gravy and, as an extra, two 'proper ' roast potatoes. You may have to wait: there are board games, books, and a piano to while away the time. There is no TV and no music except on music nights. This is a community pub the local book club meets in the back. Rooms are OK nothing special but perfectly OK. They don 't have TV/radio which I can live with; a kettle is a greater lost but these are in the 'Residents Lounge ' together with a big box of biscuits . Breakfasts are substantial. The Pow only accepts 'real money ', BTW not plastic. Some people may have 'problems ' with the PoW but really this is a superb place. I wholeheartedly recommend it."
