"This restaurant was recommended to us so we made a special trip up the lift and paid extra to do so because there was a sign saying it was open. When we arrived at 2.15 they were only doing cold food and soup as we...had been told that they had run out of everything else. Had we known this, we probably wouldn’t have bothered. It is very close to the children’s play area so popular for this reason but I think it was more the case that the chef had finished cooking rather than that they had run out of everything. I felt sorry for the serving staff as they had plenty of customers wanting to eat. We ordered a plate of local cheese and ham and this was excellent quality and plentiful."

"Extremely rude staff They hate tourists, but their livelihood depends on it. At first, when we came to the restaurant, they said that the back was booked out, so we sat in front, but when other people came in, they were taken to the area, so n the back... where they said they were booked. I asked why they started mumbling and answering. They called it a stupid question why their business is tourist based, but they depend on tourists."

"This Café or Restaurant is located in the Gondola Station in Murren. From here you can go up to the Schilthorn or down to Lauterbrunnen Valley. The food is very good and they offer a small buffet at lunch.The view out the windows is magnificent. The staff are friendly and its priced reasonable. Its a locals joint for lunch so you will see all the gondola and ski hill workers enjoying the buffet. They have a full bar."

"We were privileged to return to Hotel Sonnenberg for a week in late summer. Babs and their crew were fantastic! Not only the facilities glittering clean (as always), but chef Oliver, staff Sandy, Celene, internal Anja and chief mushroom harvester Thomas were efficient,...very, courteous and knowledgeable about local hiking trails. The property is an invigorating walk from Mürren and a welcome starting point for hikes on the surrounding well-signed hiking trails. Oliver is really a craftsman in the kitchen creates special dishes for diners as well as mixing his special blend of spices, from which he sent home with us. We often want to return and recommend it very much."

"Wanting a change from our usual lunchtime eatery we decided to try the cafe in the Hugs Cups Cafe in the Alpines Sportzentrum. It was around 2pm when we arrived so it was more of a late lunch. The menu here is fairly basic...and we opted for the minestrone soup and ham sandwich. Our friends had already had their lunch by the time we arrived to meet them. They recommended the Garlic Soup but unfortunately, the cafe was sold out! I guess it must have been a winner. Our food seemed to take a while and when the other half went to enquire with the server, he was abruptly told that she hadn't forgotten the order and that it takes a while because she makes everything fresh! We couldn't help but have a giggle about it. The minestrone soup wasn't our first choice but it wasn't a bad second choice. I can't honestly say that the ham sandwich was anything special......why? well by the time we finally got the food, I was to the point of getting hangry!. I do however, remember that the bread was very good! Not a bad cafe to visit during your time in Murren."

"C'est un simple snack sans grandes prétentions mais on y trouve une ambiance agréable.La carte est simple mais permet de satisfaire le groupe familial en toute simplicité et sans chichisLe service du patron est rustique mais efficace et courtois et il se met en 4 pour satisfaire les moindres attentes de ses clientsEt s'il vous faut autre chose, il est à la table à coté avec ses copains mais il se lève tout de suite pour vous donner satisfactionC'est comme à la maison mais en mieux ... pas de vaisselle à faire !"

"We made a reservation here based on the review. The restaurant was crowded, but the atmosphere was good. Unfortunately, the service and the food were not great. We had pizza, which was just O.K., but the service fell short for the prices they were charging...here. There are quite a few nice places to eat here in town and I would recommend trying a different one."
