"I was sad to see all of the little business in the area disappear of the past three years but The Refinery is a knock out place in this downtown area for food and very nice beer. I sampled the charcuterie plate and the meat lovers pizza both are fantastic:Bohemian pilsner 25ibuA light tartness nice pilsner bite I don’t think I could but if you like pilsner clear and crisp.Red ipa 69 ibuLight nose reddish colour wonderful light flavour with a light hop finish nearly bitter but not a hint of smokiness slight salvary glands work nice finish on the lipsScotch ale 10 ibuTraditional ale with light smokiness flat smooth finish nice amber colour Silver city ice 15 ibuSweet nose very light colour more of a Polish pilsner finish a light and a little peppermint fiCream ale Weird front and back flavor not sure there is a hint of cinnamon and very light pepper Trail ale about 18 ibuNice nose with slight sweetness the dark amber colour compliments the flavor"

"I have never had a bad experience visiting this coffee shop. It's a beautiful location, along the river with nice big windows to allow lots of light in. Food is good. Would love to see an expansion on the variety of food...more specials to make things a little more interesting. But overall great place to meet and have a coffee!"

"Can they honestly tell me that 1 of their pizza is worth $40? since I ordered the last time from here, the pizza crust was stiff as a board, the torf pieces were minimal and the pizza was hardly warm! after much disappointment I exchanged. after panago, but decided to give this young one another, and it is still nothing but disappointment. I stay at panago where I need to pay my orders as I like them and no poor and one for 4 pizzas (almost $90 at 2for1, vs $70 at panago)"

"The Canton Cafe and Ace of Taste chinese restaurants are next door neighbors and they could be twins. Both share a small menu and food that is more Canadian than Chinese. The food is very, very average and a bit bland. Yes, it is completely edible just don 't expect anything above average ."

"I had a hot chocolate at this place and it is amazing for less than $4 and it was my first hot chocolate from there. the staff was friendly and I would like to come by here while in trail"

"Mary and her staff put on another great dinner which consisted of antipasto, penne pasta with savoury meat balls, followed by mouth watering stew that melted in your mouth no knife required here. The stew was accompanied by green beans and carrots both...done to perfection. If this wasn't enough, we then had chicken and Jo-Jo potatoes. Ended up in Italian tradition with a salad and a canoni pastry. The food was outstanding and the service friendly and superb. When in Trail area, this is a must !"
