What User doesn't like about Trail Beer Refinery:
Thought that from the ratings, this would be a good choice. Not so good. First, the room is unbelievably loud! Sitting across the table, we could not shout loud enough to be heard. Next, it is a beer & pizza place, and they ran out of beer & pizza! No pizza, and they were out of IPA. The food we did get was good (though the 'brewery dog' was just a sausage in a bun). Service was excellent, but I would never go back. read more.

"This place is one of my favorite places in Rossland before it got turned into a Gastropub. I dropped by for a afternoon snack and I got myself the John Candy burger with fries for the first time in years. It was juicier than the...last time I had it. The staff was nice and I made a joke towards the GM, who is a friend of mine. The next time I am there, I hope to be there with friends so we can have a business lunch/dinner."

"Best food I have had in the Kootenays to date. The presentation was incredible. My mom had the ginger beef and I had the pad Thai definitely will be back next time I’m in town. Docking you a star as your waffle iron was out of commission and you were out of halibut. Halibut burger I hear is superb."

"It is what you expect, they will offer ketchup, but that doesn't mean you get it with your order, and napkins seem to be kept under lock and key as well. Bring your own condiments and napkins via drive thru and you will do fine."

"I was there with my sister a few years ago. The food and service was amazing and fabulous. So after the restrictions of Covid lifted, we planned a well needed getaway to BC (from Alberta) around going back to the Colander for another treat to...their fabulous Italian cuisine. While understanding the Covid Restrictions were tough on businesses and restaurant's, I felt I could do no favors by smoozing my comments. The food (spaghetti sauce and meatballs) was tasteless and very disappointing to the point, i will not be back. The chicken was also tasteless and dry. My hopes in this review and others I have read is to allow the owners managers to go back to previous recipe's so the Restaurant can return to it's glor and continue serving for many years to come. ."
