"Amazing salsa !! Great service and a fun environment !!! But they need better cooks with more than one style of cooking who know how NOT to overcook all the meat they offer. ALL dishes taste very similar! All with burnt burn marks on "whatever" meat, mixed with similar spices and all well done to finish cooking. Burnt cremation, like a fajitas, but for every dish? This is the second time that I had to come here with the same results ... I refuse the next time I am invited ... Maybe have a drink because the mood is good and fun ... she just need better cooks ..."

"Ordered two burritos, Mexican rice and fries and added a note for no cheese as i am vegan. I got two tortillas that were filled only with cheese, with nothing else inside, no beans at all, then microwaved and covered in red sauce like a relleno. The rice was very bland and the fries were greasy and cooked in old oil. Very disappointed!! Never again."

"A Step Above. When it comes down to it you really can't find *GOOD* Mexican food in Richmond. The city just doesn't attract authentic Mexian restaurateurs. Eating Mexican here is an exercise in compromise but Toro Loco may just be the city's best compromise. The dishes aren't anything unusual, there is nothing novel on the menu but nonetheless every dish is done well. You can tell the quality of the ingredients is a step above the competition (Casa Grande, Mexico, etc yet the prices are just as low. The services are quick and the location is convenient. If there is a better hole in the wall' Mexican joint in Richmond I haven't found it yet. Recommended."

"The only problem I can say about this place is weird location, but it’s still only 5 mins from the house in Ginter Park. We really enjoyed our carnitas tacos and queso. The margarita was also well made and not super sweet but a nice mild tart. Perfect little hidden gem!"
