"Nine of us dined at the George, Friday evening. Pleasent seating in the conservancy, nice drop of Doombar or Landlord on offer with the other standard beers. Good food, I had a very tasty Hunters Chicken. Gammon and Egg was popular as were the Rump steaks. Service was excellent, food being presented promptly and glasses being refilled as often as required. Great evening. looking forward to our next one.;"

"My wife and I used to live in the Village of Barby. Totally fell in love with the Arnold Arms Great Pub full of lovely people. Some Villagers a lot of outsiders But Great atmosphere. You will really Enjoy your time there. Chris"

"What a letdown! The service was appalling from beginning to the end. Unacceptable Some of our meals were good others not so good. Parts of my dish were hot and cold.. Definitely wouldn't return."

"Family group of 4 for lunch. Overall 3/4 were OK with our experience. The menu was somewhat limited to begin with and sadly there were a number of items unavailable which reduced the choice even more so we did struggle to find anything interesting. I decided to try the Vegan Steak (I'm not a vegan or veggie but always willing to try something different), when I asked what it was like I was told it was made from mushrooms and very similar to a normal steak in texture and flavour. I was SO disappointed when I was served up with a single chunk of Lions Mane Mushroom that looked like a soggy lump of cauliflower that had been charred on a grill, it had absolutely no flavour and was watery and mushy. In fact I would have been happier WITH a lump of cauliflower, at least it would have had some flavour and texture, how they managed to decide to call it a Vegan Steak is a joke and beyond me. Definitely not worth £15. Hopefully they change up the menu soon as I personally wouldn't bother again until they do."

"The breaded camembert is all I ever need. That and the bacon, brie and red onion chutney Since I have visited the UK I have eaten nothing but lamb and cheese. So happy I found this local gem while visiting the UK. Brilliant !"

"Have been using this place for 9 years, and never had a bad pint. Staff are always very friendly and accommodating. A lovely place to dine with exceptional food and equally lovely to come for just a drink. It's dog friendly and has an amazing garden for the brighter days with what I can only describe as a view the gods should be proud of over the fields. What more could anyone ask for....... Hats off to all the staff and management that keep the place as good as it is."

"Open all day, reviews looked great but reality was very different, the food was below average and looked microwaved, the chips were reheated, the garlic prawns were in a watery sauce if you can call it that. Beef bourguignon and mash looked like it was out of a can. Overpriced and run down place"
