"We just had a children’s birthday party at The Mug Tree Tea room and it was the most perfect location! Amazing service from Kathryn and her team, delicious food, and a lovely warm, cosy and relaxed environment. Couldn’t recommend them enough for any small gathering, parties, family do’s, or other celebrations! The food is so yummy and there’s an amazing selection too. I particularly recommend the Eton Mess Sundaes and Cream Teas . Thanks again for a wonderful time!"

"The cafe looks a bit dark and gloomy and the decor in the toilet is weird, BUT I had the best ever Brie bacon and cranberry sandwich here. Well cooked and lovely thick bread used to make it. The service was good and it was good value,"

"Decided to do a circular walk from Ardingly (no 2 in the Walks from West Sussex pubs) and discovered that the Oak Inn, listed there, has closed down. Chose the Ardingly Inn instead and was surprised to be able to book a table for 8 so easily on a Sunday lunch time. Was there something wrong? Absolutely not. A short but ideal menu, great food for children and adults, friendly service and an all round lovely lunch and good value too. The landlord told me that it seems people pass the pub by as it’s slightly set back from the main Lindfield Turners Hill Road. You’re missing out. We’ll be going back."

"Collected so no issues with slow delivery as mentioned in other reviews. Burgers are made to order so probably a 20 min wait on a busy Saturday evening. First visit so we had the Meal Deal with a Tower (chicken and a Mexican (hot! . Chips, onion rings and drinks included. Great sauces, great value, especially with discount (they do student and NHS . Oh, and the burgers were delicious. Still hot after a 5 mile drive which is unusual. Delivery would have been 2.99 so I guess we 'll be ordering very soon but allowing them time to cook them from scratch! And the staff? So friendly! The owner/manager engaged with me while I was waiting, I was addressed by name when it was ready and I was spoken to throughout my wait, being told about other items on the menu, the loyalty card, the app etc etc. To summarise, if you want fast food, go to Mcdonald 's, if you want fresh, tasty burgers made from scratch in front of you by friendly staff then Smoque is your destination of choice."

"So I actually went to the ardingly caffe and here I was served the beautiful, tasty dish, avacardo smash with rührei, instead of a poached egg as I don't like it especially. this was no problem again, since I had actually substituted with a fried egg before the fried eggs! I and my partner were actually late, since cooked service had set to 2.15, we had arrived at 2.30, were nevertheless warmly welcomed and quickly served the beautiful dish! my partner had the same, no drama on her part to serve with the eggs with her!"

"This was our first visit here and although the cafe is fairly small it was very pleasant and well staffed. There was plenty to chose from on the menu. We had a sandwich and a jacket potatoe, and both were excellent well cooked, hot and presented well. The staff were plesant ,welcoming and attentive. We will be definately be returning and trying other menu items."

"Today we had our first take away due to the corona virus !! We ordered the big breakfast box !! We had everything !! Sausages bacon eggs hash browns black pudding toast beans and mushrooms , more than enough for three hungry men and me...!! Hot and delicious !! And only !! Definately wont be our last !! "What a shame such a lovely venue and the food did look good. We arrived without a booking on a Saturday and understand its a busy venue but all the staff were rude when we asked if we could just sit down for a quick drink. You can 't sit outside, defiantly not if you 're just having a drink. There were free tables the whole time we were there but got sat inside reluctantly. We ordered a snack bowl of deep fried jalapenos which were nice and had one drink. We then left and the bill came with 12.5% service charge on it. We asked if it could be taken off and were met with WHY? you had food! it got taken off in the end but it felt like becase we weren 't booked and we didn 't sit down for a full meal we weren 't worth bothering with. Such a shame customer service lets a wonderful venue down. Everyone was rude. Service: 1"
