"We'd been to Fishman Lobster Clubhouse, and then we'd heard that this place was better, so off we went. Unfortunately, the FLC is still tops.FWSR just fell short on a few points. Yes, it. more cramped. Also, the server in charge of our table was in a sour mood. She only cheered up when her male colleagues came around towards the end of our meal. The oil that the lobster was fried in must have also been due for a change as there was an aftertaste. Strangely the stir fried vegetables came at the very end when we already stuffed. The individual deep fried oysters were unappetizing, and the fried rice with lobster tomalley was very short on tomalley. All in all, a disappointing experience. We'll never go back. Oh yes, and I think it costs more to boot."

"The set up of the restaurant is very interesting; it give you a feeling that you are dining at home or in your friends house. The food is good, especially for people who are health cautious as the food are not oily or salty. I like there desert as the chef did think through on the presentation. Highly recommend to give it a try."

"Maybe it was an off night or their regular kitchen team were off....but it was not as good as it used to be. We always order Chicken Pad Thai...its our standard for dining in or out. Last weekend we ordered to go. When we arrived home, we found that there was no lemon grass, no lemon wedge, the little container of peanuts was clumpy and there was not very much chicken. While it was not a bad meal, it was not their usual. My son said...."its an expensive bowl of noodles" now."

"I walked in, into a small well appointed, unpretentious restaurant placed at the end of the lot, advertising Halal Steaks and Fish, (a rarity). Three smiling stewards flourished the large black menus and waited for our orders. What else would you order but Steaks? But the steaks here come in five different choices from well done to Rare, with Medium rare being the second choice. It also explained what each choice meant. Thrown in with fries, broccoli, vegetables, mashed or baked potatoes and ONIONS!!. Reminded me of the good old days of Bombay when Beef was still not a dirty word.The meals arrived, promptly, freshly grilled and hot with a thick layer of peppercorn sauce, softly fried onions and fries which were tempting.It turned out to be a gastronomical delight. One of the best steaks I have eaten for a long time. Chef and Owner Imran Kazi (from West Bengal, India,) stopped by to make sure that we were enjoying ourselves.Peppercorn steak house deserves many many visits. Good serving, smiling staff, and not expensive at all. They have also a very economical Breakfast deal under 5 Dollars and a lunch special under 10.So if you like steaks, like Fish and like them Halal, (even if you don't), head for Imran Kazi's pet baby. (Oh, no alcohol here.)"

"Excellent specials and well worth the money. We ate in. The meal was hot and the batter stayed crispy; even after it was hit with malt vinegar. The mushy peas needed to cook longer, but they were ok. I hope you have the same experience as us and we are definitely going back soon!!!!"
