"We went there as a family of three at the end of our ski holidays, a bit as a crowning event. And it certainly was a good evening to remember. We attended the first shift,as they like to reserve tables twice per evening. We knew we'd have to release the table at 8pm for the next guests.We ordered the filet de boeuf which probably was the best one we had been eating in the last 12 months. Perfect meat, perfectly cooked, served with a tasty potato gratin - delicious. Our 8-years old daughter took the chicken nuggets, which according to her were better than usual - I tried and can confirm: real chicken pieces, not industrial.Service was friendly and attentive. We had already been there before and shall return again. One word of caution though: it is expensive. With wine, desserts for two of us, we ended having a tab of 200.-"

"During a recent week skiing in the Lenzerheide/Arosa area, we stopped in for lunch at Avant Clavo. Bustling with activity and packed full, our server had barely a moment to breathe but retained a good mood and provided good service. With so many people, it did take a bit for the food to arrive... not an eternity but also not quick. It did not disturb, as we enjoyed the break, the view, the sunshine and the good music. Among the items ordered were the Flammkuchen (which was tasty but better to order when sitting inside, as it cooled off quite quickly) and the Gulasch soup. The soup was very tasty, and I'd go back just for that. Portions were generous and prices comparable with other restaurants on the slopes."

"We stopped at this restaurant because it looks very quaint. Charming it is, but we were very disappointed with the service. Switzerland partly lives from tourism and people,in the hospitality business should be happy that there aew still a few tourists who come to Switzerland in some of the horrendous prices.One more thing that bothered me was that the restaurant doesn't accept children under 7."
