"We went to watch the cup final with family. We booked a booth which to be honest was just a dirty table shoved in the corner. Alcohol prices had been increased for that day. If they were that expensive on other days, the bar would go under in a week! It was £7.90 for a pint of peroni, £6.50 for Carling dark fruits and £6 for bottle of WKD! Shocking when you consider Wembley only charges £5 a pint! TVs kept going off, massively understaffed and some members of staff were out of their depth! We wouldn 't go back!"

"A good value Sunday lunch with a choice of 3 meats. You can help yourself to vegetables. I'm gluten intolerant and they do a good gluten Free gravy but we booked beforehand to make sure they had some."

"Decent pint of Guinness at an OK price, sat outside (hence 3 rating as can't say I looked about anywhere, nor had food or any other drinks). Seats were OK outdoors but due to location, quite a bit traffic about (but it was a nice sunny day so didn't matter, although for some it might). Would happily get off the bus a couple of stops early to have a drink in here though."

"Good night on a Sunday for the Karaoke. Eddie still doing the rounds just like the old days in Pumphrey's. Canny bar for a drink and a sing song or just seeing people making a fool of themselves singing just like I do. All good fun."

"Dined out using the government discount. Some menu options weren't included but that was made clear at the beginning of service. We have dietary requirements which were well catered for. The waitress was really attentive without being on top of us all the time. she was lovely. Nice quiet atmosphere, good mix of fellow diners and good views of Tyne and bridges. We would definitely visit again"

"Went to the maven for an anniversary dinner. The atmosphere was very romantic and chilled. The service was very quick and we weren't kept waiting for our food. I found it very good that they offered a vegan menu and you can mix and match for same included price. The food was nice. I had the Thai chicken laska, the only thing I can say is that there was still cartilage and alot of skin left out the chicken, so it tampered with the overall quality of the food. Overall I did have a pleasant experience, will return when restraunt week is on, as quite pricey for quality otherwise"
