"Called in for a quick pint at lunchtime. Friendly staff, great service. Enjoyed my beer, clean environment, will be back. Tried the new Corned Beef pie today, will try again without the gravy. I do have to say though, standards do appear to have dropped here over the last couple of months, in terms of customer service and closing early on a Saturday night which was a different occasion to already reviewed."

"My friends and I had a Sunday dinner at the crown hotel. eating was absolutely amazing. chowder is to die and beef cooked to perfection the staff was very friendly. it is a must and anyone who does not try this wonderful place. will be back soon!"

"We arrived in Poole for our Christmas break not knowing the area at all. Stumbled across The Portsmouth Hoy and they happily welcomed me, my other half and our chocolate Labrador. Lovely food menu with plenty of choice. The lasagne and scampi were plentiful and tasty. Staff friendly and attentive and the atmosphere in the pub was relaxed. So pleased we found it!"
