"One of the best places in Engelberg for a night out, the food is fantastic, the quantities are enormous, and the service friendly and discreet. Get yourself a window table and town will be at your feet. We had a fantastic supper, two of us had Fondue Bourguignon. and the other Cordon Bleu. we could not praise the food more. If you like good Swiss traditional food, this is the place for you."

"Nice decor, food was ok. Very over priced. For the price they charge you think they would give you some bread/rolls on the table. $50 entree doesn't include a salad... We ordered a bottle of wine by pointing to it on the menu. (Menu was in German) Waitress brought us a much more expensive bottle that we were surprised with when we got the check. After eating she cleared some of the dirty plates and we sat there for 30 minutes wanting coffee and dessert. After getting her attention she cleaned off the rest of the table and vanished again. We decided to skip coffee and dessert and ask for the check. That's when were got the surprise of the more expensive wine along with mark up to Euros. All of the prices were listed in Francs, but they charge you in Euros at the price listed for Francs. I told the waitress that was not fair and we were not happy with the deception. She didn't care. Also, salad bar had bugs flying around it. Skip anything with shrimp... it smelled and tasted terrible."

"The restaurant is actually called mountain restaurant Untertrübsee and lies on the valley down to englberg. it is our last stop on a ski day and is the source of many good memories, so I give them four stars and not because of the food. they have two different eating areas. actually they also have an outside area that is not visited so much in winter. the larger dining room with magnificent mountain is the more basic setup. the right restaurant is smaller. we usually had drinks, so I can't relate to eating, but it looked good. the service is friendly and fast."

"We were 7 friends visiting the restaurant. Two of us stayed at the hotel, the rest stayed another place. Restaurant Schweizerhof had a "eat-as-much-as-you-can" Raclette-offer. And, you could choose to have a meat plate (costs extra) besides the salad bar. After a long day of skiing, the possibility of eating as much as you want/need at a fair price was very tempting. The food was very good, and we found a decent priced Swiss Pinot Noir that matched the food perfectly.Very good service, no stress, we took the time we wanted and needed. If I were to have any critics, it was that the Raclette was not in a stand, it came in slices you grilled on the small gas grill on the table."
