"I will say the service was excellent: the greeting by the host was wonderful, I wish I could remember our server's name, he was very accommodating, but the food quality was just yuck. Ordered the portobello mushroom plate: the two anemic mushrooms were dry, unseasoned, the two pasta dishes had no sauce at all. A side of vegetables was also unseasoned and bland. Don't order garlic bulb; it was a huge mess to get out of the bulb. There was a lady seated behind us that had the most piercing voice, who blathered on and on and on about her job, which made the experience at the restaurant a drag. The muddy-sounding and somewhat loud music wasn't remotely Italian at an Italian place in North Beach. Not recommended."

"The Richmond is located more on the outskirts, so make sure if you are not driving that you have access to Uber-no taxis in sight. This small elegant restaurant offers a fixed price dinner only with optional wine pairing. There were several items to choose from; starter, entree and dessert. Additionally wonder warm crusty bread was served and a small cup of delicious cream leek soup. I ordered the salad with pecans, steak and apple crisp a la mode for dessert and it was all delicious. They offer a very reasonable wine list with several selections under 35 bucks. The atmosphere is quiet and perfect for conversation. The bill for four came to about 190 bucks with a bottle of wine. Service was excellent and the owner is charming and friendly. All parties were happy with their meal."

"I was in the past. My sister and BF had not, so I took her for his birthday. Chicken Milanese still favorite all the time! Great Whiskey Sours Basil Hayden and a large white Burgundy through the glass. Great neighborhood point!"
