"I think the food was good. Coffee was great by LA standards.I had been driving around all morning to find a modern cafe in the area for breakfast. I was surprised and so was the lady at the takeout window that I was made to order and pay out front. I watched and observed and no one else was made to do this. They were all Caucasian.It seemed to be because I am a brown person which is consistent with some of the reviews.Just be aware to be treated lesser than if you’re anything other than white which is strange choice for a business in the area."

"They've changed their focus, and now make these delectably chewy mochi donuts, or mochinuts' they still have the korean style corn dogs, cheese dogs, etc, but people seem to be coming in for the donuts, and for good reason!"

"You HAVE to stop by. I grew up in the area, actually can see the place I used to live at from the corner. Area is so different now. I had the shoyu ramen. Generous amount of noodles, soft boiled egg, pork belly. The broth is stupid good. Get some!"

"Had an extraordinary culinary experience at n/naka last night. I understand why it's so hard to get a reservation... It was without equal. The best meal I have ever enjoyed. We got the optional wine and sake pairing to match the 13 course kaiseki and it was perfection. Each course was beautiful, surprising, nuanced, and holy f*ck delicious. I'm in awe of the mastery of technique and respect for ingredients displayed by the chefs. Some of the best service I've experienced at a Michelin star establishment as well. Attention to detail is what sets n/naka apart. The meal ends with a personal thank you from the chef. Filled with gratitude ??"
