"A friendly country pub and hotel with restaurant and dog friendly bar. We had a generous roast beef Sunday lunch, but sadly no horseradish sauce, followed by a nice homemade raspberry cheesecake. A good selection of beers plus guest beer, also alcohol free beer and cider available."

"Popped in for lunch while driving further north, this is obviously a popular place and luckily we just before the rush! A warm welcome and a table quickly found and order taken. This is a very nice restaurant, just a few minutes' walk from the main car park. It has a great menu, nothing too complicated, but local and appealing. We were both very pleased with our choice for main, and stayed for a coffee and a shared cake (as the portions are quite generous). There are local paintings, prints, cards and book on sale too. Service was excellent, and all very reasonably priced. Highly recommended."

"I have previously had several lovely Indian meals from here. However, a couple of nights ago my colleagues and I had a late monday night delivery from here and every one of us were left bitterly disappointed. Two of my colleagues had pizzas, one a munchy box and one a chip shop meal. The pizzas were disgusting, the most unorthodox looking meat feast I've ever seen (a spicy sauce with chicken and lamb tikka, mushrooms and onions, no pepperoni or ham in sight! and an unusual, not very cheesy, ugly, tasteless, cardboardy margherita. The munchy box looked less appealing than a dog's breakfast with various bits carelessly and unappetisingly thrown into a box. And finally, my smoked sausage and cheesy chips was woeful. It was a half an overcooked sausage (elsewhere u get a whole one buried under a scoop of dried out leathery inedible chips with a hint of cheese melted on them. Worst chips I've ever had! If the establishment owner is reading this, you've lost 4 customers with one order. Take a lesson from Tony's Tower or Crolla's and specialise in one, maybe two cuisines. Yes you can cook Indian food well but please stop your pathetic attempts to be a one-stop takeaway that'll suit everyone. Focus on what you're good at. Pizzas and chippy dishes are not your forte! Leave them to others who can do them better. My colleagues and I are all very disappointed and won't be returning."

"Fabulous Wee Coffee Shop in Heart of Gala !! 2 Lovely friendly Ladies served us ! Nothing was too much trouble for them ! Even offered to reseat us when a Mum and noisy children arrived and sat at table next to us !! Even though we refused( as my friend and I when the chat begins nothing distracts us !!Lol! The V fact they cared just shows the difference between them and other Cafes !! We enjoyed 'posh ' Cheese and Onion on Toast with scrumptious sweet pickle !!! Lovely americano Coffee Then cup of tea (if only we had space for one of their gorgeous looking scones or home bake !! Next Time Ladies !! Most Def !! See u V Soon !! 100% Recommend this lovely Friendly Cafe to Everyone !!"
