"My friend and I popped in after a long walk and had the most amazing Sunday Lunch. I had lamb shank and she had roast beef. Both were perfectly cooked and came with beautiful crispy roast potatoes, Yorkshire puddings, swede and carrot mash, cauliflower and broccoli cheese and red cabbage. Excellent value and delicious."

"As we searched for a pub to have lunch in,we popped into The Swan in Old Weston.After ordering a drink we had a chat with a few of the locals.We asked the lady behind the bar whether they cooked Sunday dinner or not.She replied that...chef only orders in enough meat relating to the bookings they receive.This particular pub is very easily missed,in fact if it was not for the faded sign up above the road side,we would have continued driving.As i had a little nosey around i was impressed with their games room,particularly the skittles table.....you do not see them often nowadays.The gentlemen we spoke with were exceptionally friendly offering us help to find a pub/restaurant that served Sunday lunch(which we later found).The pub was extremely quiet,no music and no television on either...just a few customers and a friendly barmaid and some filled rolls on the side of the bar.This is how pubs should be like......isn"t it??"

"We always wanted to try Côte so thought we 'd do just that. Sadly the food and presentation were average and nothing to be wowed over. The sea bass came over loaded with so many peas it was rediculous. (Prezzo seabass was sooo much tastier). The 'fresh ' juices also tasted like they were concentrated. Starters: Crispy Whitebait, Mains: Pan fried Seabass, Dessert: Tarte Au Citron. All in all the dessert was the best and was very tasty and we 'd go there just to try the variety of desserts. The Customer service was good, but we were served by 3 different people. It 's nice when it 's just one person serving you."

"The wait for food was horrendous, not one person in the shop. Even after waiting the haddock was just about edible, the battered sausage was okay but the chips were the greasiest chips I have ever tasted, absolutely soaked in grease.. If you want a quick heart attack then this is the place to go.."

"Visited the Fitzwilliam Arms for an evening family meal. Upon arrival, we were greeted by friendly staff who were attentive throughout our visit. The beer garden is very spacious, well kept and over looks fields where sheep graze which I found rather charming and lovely for younger children. We ate our meal inside which again was spacious, tastefully decorated furnished. A very pleasant dining area. We didn't have a long wait from ordering our food or in between courses, and plates were cleared in a good timeframe. The food was exceptional. I ordered calamari to start, pork for main (which was devine) and crème brûlée for pudding. All 3 courses were of a very high standard and I would recommend trying any of them. This pub really does tick all the boxes for me and we'll definitely be visiting again. A very pleasant dining experience. Lovely pub. Great staff wonderful food."
