"This was a rather disappointing experience. I want to be very clear that I appreciated the wait staff and that my review is not a reflection on the waiters. They were working hard and truly trying to accommodate a very busy time. It was obvious that the kitchen was overworked because the food was subpar for a very extraordinarily long wait. A meal which should have involved maybe an hour hour and a half at most was a three 3 1/2 hour meal and I can honestly say nothing was extraordinary. The muscles were in a broth that felt like they had poured some tasteless broth into it at the last minute. This is not my experience for a Fairmont restaurant and it was not my experience for the rest of my week at the Banff Fairmont. But I definitely could not give this a great review. One shining moment was the oysters and I thought those were very good. Well, I guess I can also give the french fries a thumbs up. Hopefully this was just a sign of a busy time with not enough kitchen and staff to be able to present, and I'm hopeful that this will improve"

"We had a great dinner tonight. All the food was wonderful, I highly recommend the house made bread and the Nanimo cheesecake, so delicious! Service by Ian was wonderful and the General Manager, Matt, keep at our table to check our meal was an additional nice touch. And of course, the view is just incredible. "The restaurant is up a flight of stairs - I don't know if there was an elevator for the handicapped. We were hoping for outside or open air seating in the summer but there is only a small bar on the balcony that may seat 5. We were sitting at that bar and it provided a great view of the main street to people watch. Now the food - I ordered a cobb salad any my husband ordered the salmon, which was okay but a small portion. My cobb salad had stringy, dried up old looking chicken which was awful. My meal was replacedI with a caesar salad with chicken which was better because the chicken was chicken breast. The restaurant was very large and offered entertainment at night- good for the younger crowd."

"I love the Pub portion part of this place. It is friendly place with sports on the. The staff are awesome. The bartenders can make awesome drinks. They even do a proper whisky sour. If it is a nice absolutely check out the patio. Amazing views!"

"The BC salmon was awesome. Rotisserie chicken a little dry. Smashed potatoes and slaw good. Server/Ellie was excellent. Cocktail (cosmo with in house vodka perfection). Our table, A little cold by the door and a little noisy. Would go back for sure!"
