"Such a friendly, welcoming place. An extensive menu with several versions of regional dish parmo as well as the usual pub classics. A family run pub with the emphasis on excellent customer service. Just wish we lived closer. Thanks for a wonderful evening."

"Food itself was really and cant be faulted and they catered for gluten free. The waiters didn't seem to have a clue what was going on. Paid before our food came (foolish) one of the items wasnt available and they double charged us for what was already an overpriced burger. In all fairness the manager was really helpful and resolved it by refunding. Was an okay experience although let down by the rude old grumpy golfers that were also in there. "Had excellent Sunday lunch. My family enjoyed the roast beef dinner and i had the pesto cheese filled chicken breast meal which was delicious. Liked the look of all desserts on the menu but had summer pudding which was just right with a bit of tang and nice dollop of cream on top. Others in the group enjoyed ginger cheesecake and Eton Mess. Bill came to £80.80 which i thought was good for 4 2 course meals. 2 Bottles of cider and 1 1/2 pints of beer and 3 coffees! The restaurant was not even half full but they were telling people it was fully booked so we were guessing the kitchen was short staffed so it was a good job we booked. Friendly polite waiting staff also."

"Good wholesome pub food at reasonable prices. Deserts are generous proportions. Very nice decor and very clean refurbished and stylish rest rooms. The pub is popular and does not take reservations so we were advised to arrive early at 6 pm to make sure of a table."

"Stopped here after hiking in the area on a Friday night, and they were good enough to accommodate us despite being fully booked. A straight forward menu, we both had the pie, (steak and ale and Stilton, potato and leek) which were both excellent with a load of vegetables. Friendly staff and simple food done well"
