"Too late to for a table and turned away at our first choice restaurant, we were welcomed warmly at Pali Gap & ordered a duck-breast salad and veggy salad at €10 (or €12 with a glass of wine). We sat outside in the shade to be surprised and delighted when our salads came. They were generous, delicious and freshly made by the friendly chef/owner, the ingredients mostly home made. The meal with bread, wine and water cost the same as two desserts in Sete the previous evening."

"Having often eaten at l'Estagnol in Narbonne we thought we would stop for lunch at l'Estagnol in Gruissan. Big mistake. The coolness of the welcome should have alerted us and it went downhill from there. We ordered the menu du marche expecting whatever was fresh from the market. The choice was the thinnest sausage I have ever seen and a small portion of dauphinoise potatoes or encornets farcies ( stuffed squid) neither of which came fresh from any market. We ordered a pichet of very ordinary rose which cost 9 euros. We had no bread no napkins and not a smile in sight. We both agreed that the desert would need to be magnificent to make the offering worth the 14 euros menu price. We were offered chocolate mousse and when my wife asked about choice the choice was take it or leave it despite us overhearing French couples being offered other deserts. The actual food to be fair was tasty but the whole experience fell so far short of any reasonable expectation that we felt completely ripped off. Reluctantly our advice is avoid this restaurant at all costs."

"On va pas se mentir. On mange souvent mal, voire très mal, en bord de mer, avec un accueil parfois limite. On range ce genre d'a priori quand on sort du grand soleil. Terrasse agréable, accueil souriant, service rapide, assiette appétissante et petite addition. Elle est pas belle là vie. On reviendra."

"We were impressed by this small restaurant. It's run by a husband and wife team, he is the chef and she does front of house. The service was very efficient and the food was excellent. The moules frites were very good and the fresh fish was very nicely cooked. Chef seems to pay attention to presentation of the dishes because everything looked very attractive.Good find, we'll be going back."

"Mosquitoes everywhere with most of the unfortunate diners slapping themselves constantly. Over priced food seemingly prepared without care (small stone in salad) pizza that I ended up throwing back up 3 hours later, glaring lights and soul less atmosphere. It's been a long time since I found a place this bad. Given the moody unfriendly young guys doing the bar it is a good job they have no competition nearby."

"Nous sommes allé dîner fin juin dans ce restaurant .Pas évident à trouver le long du port mais des amis nous en avait fait l'éloge donc nous avons voulu tester.Un Super accueil pour ce tout petit restaurant, le gérant est au petit soin pour ses clients et pour les enfants !Une carte plutôt correcte et une jolie vue sur le port .Nous avons très bien dîner pour un prix plus que correct . Les produits étaient frais et nous n'avons pas eu l impression de tomber dans une restaurant attrape touristes comme il y en a par dizaines à Gruissan.Je le recommande vivement ce fut une très agréable surprise !"
