"He food and service is always very good at this WINNER'S. Our family loves to eat there and the atmosphere is always GOOD. The servers are always friendly and the food comes really quick. They pay attention to small details like any modifications you want done to your meal or drink. I would highly recommend this restaurant. The Elvis."

"Despite working in the TD centre, I have only recently made it to Bymark for lunch. I'm not sure what I was expecting but I have been pleasantly surprised with my visits on two occasions. The service was both pleasant and prompt. The food made it to the table in a very acceptable, even speedy amount of time. I also very much like the vibe in the lower portion of the restaurant, think low lighting with a warm glow in the room. On my first visit, I ordered the lobster grilled cheese sandwich and it was absolutely decadent and delicious. Large chunks of Atlantic lobster, melting gooey brie cheese, pancetta and a perfectly crisp and crunchy buttered brioche bread....just perfection. Be warned, this sandwich is very rich. My colleague had the veal schnitzel which was huge and served with greens and capers on top. It was also very good.Second visit, I decided to get what has been referred to as "the most expensive burger in Toronto". For $38 you get an 8oz burger topped with brie, shaved truffles and mushrooms. You can choose a side of fries, onion rings or greens and in this instance I went with the greens so I could get through the afternoon! So what can I say about the burger? Medium rare, juicy, we'll seasoned, melted brie (this can never be bad) and the permeating truffle...mmm worth every penny. I won't be making this a regular lunch by any means but if you want to splurge out, you will not be disappointed. My colleague had the fogo island tempura cod, which she said was also excellent. I'll have to get around to going for dinner here one day but if you are looking for a business lunch spot in the financial district, highly recommend Bymark."

"This is my second ever review on trip advisor as I rarely have anything more to add than the other author's of posts however, on this occasion, it felt only right as anyone living or travelling to Toronto should really visit this restaurant. Here is why:1) The service - From the moment we entered there was a charm about this place with each waiter having their own character to play in this wonderfully orchestrated experience which you would usually call dinner. This is just the warm up until you meet the owner Michele and his wife Margi who are the consummate restauranteurs paying attention to every detail of the customer's and providing light (and sometimes even hilarious) entertainment, in the form of conversation, jokes and anecdotes. There is a reason they named the place Carisma. 2) The food - I have personally eaten at some of the best restaurants in London (where I live) and in the world, many of which have been awarded one or more Michelin stars, however, the quality of food I tasted at Carisma was unparalleled. The Zucchini Florets (only in season for two weeks I believe) was a dish I will remember forever (I hope) as well as the white truffle pasta. In addition, the accommodation to our dietary requirements and the adapting of portion sizes enabling us to try more options on the menu was just another example of the nature of this restaurant. 3) The wine - there are over 200 bottles and an extensive list by the glass so have fun trying to get through that lot. It is clearly a passion of Michele's to drink great wine and this is the, as it should be, the reason for such an epic wine list. As some other writers on Tripadvisor have mentioned, we went back a second time during our six night stay in Toronto where we had an excellent Brunello and divine food created by the hands of chef Salvatore from Naples (who was so Italian we could only communicate through sign language) that I would have to say that this is one of the best restaurants I have ever been to in the world. This place is a treat and the people behind it are an example of how the restaurant business should run. It would be a mistake to miss it."

"I enjoyed every bit of my experience at this Chinatown spot. Ideally located on Dundas, close to the AGO, the place offers a modern and refined setting and peaceful atmosphere. There is plenty to choose from the menu. We ordered quite a variety from it...and enjoyed the generous portions and nicely prepared food. Service was friendly and quick."

"While looking for a seafood restaurant for a dinner in Toronto, I met several recommendations that mention Honest Weight. When learning the big fish market of the restaurant, I was convinced and made a booking for a Sunday evening. Upon arrival, the room felt comforting and welcoming, with a small seating area and a unique refrigerator that presented the daily seafood options. The menu is small but with a tantalizing selection and my girlfriend and I chose PEI oysters, meerrot scallops, a Clam chowder and cod cooked with seasonal vegetables and crushed potatoes. The service was very in line with the atmosphere of the restaurant, and we were offered a small sample of three different white wines to support us in our choice. At first there was a tray of shoved oysters with a house mignonette and hot sauce. I found both types of oysters delicious, fleshy, but not excessively fishy (in accordance with my personal taste), and both house sauces were good. I enjoyed the succession of the dishes and we were then presented with a beautiful dish of meerroten Scallops and a Clam Chowder. A parsnip puree was the perfect companion to the scallops, very well meerte but the perfect texture in the middle. A pop of the sweet of the pomegranate was well thought out, and at a later visit I would consider the dish to be a must order. The mussel khowder was also great, with a light sweetness from the shells and delicate, well balanced aromas throughout. Despite the cream based, the Chowder felt surprisingly light but still warming. Given the quality of seafood from Honest Weight, it is hard to believe how far the restaurant is from the sea. I enjoyed the later cod shell, but not to the same extent as the first three plates we tried. The fish was well boiled, and again the quality was obvious, and crushed potatoes were delightful in their texture, flockiness and accentuated by a hint of whole grain mustard. Overall, I would fight to recommend any better seafood restaurant that I had the opportunity to try in Toronto. The quality of seafood is obvious, and the cooking style is masterful in its celebration of ingredients. The food paired with the intimate atmosphere of the restaurant has turned me into a glowing and vocal fan of Honest Weight."

"We have been here many times since it opened, and sadly, have to say tonight indicated some serious slippage. First, the service, which had always been engaged and attentive, was blah. Our server was not rude, but was indifferent and not at all engaged in...her job. Next.....one of my favourite things there had been the homemade bread appetizer. I wash shocked because tonight it was dry, and clearly not fresh, and just sad. I had the Wedge Salad, which I had not tried before. It was fine, but nothing special. My husband had the burger, which we both usually LOVE, but the bun was hard and clearly not fresh. So all in all, this was a disappointing night at a place we have always loved and supported (as we do it's big brother restaurant nearby). Disappointed."
