"My first visit took place here lately, only during the lock-off restrictions for outside seats. having heard good, eating was not disappointed. beautifully presented in a relaxed atmosphere."

"Been here many times but yesterday’s visit to the restaurant was appalling. Seated at 7.30pm ordered drinks (water glass of wine). Water was brought but no glasses , 20 minutes later still no glasses or wine. Starters served but no glasses for water. Later...brought. Mains served, cooked to within an inch of their life! Could of broke a window with my brioche bun! Asked for wine 3 times. Finally served at 8.45. An hour and 15 minutes after ordering. Served warm (white) and subsequently sent back. Not the kind of service expected from a high end golf club. Very disappointed"

"I ordered a steak pudding and chips and noticed that the pudding was not in a bain marie as would be normal but it was put into a microwave. When I got home I found the chips under cooked almost white and falling apart and the pudding wasn't hot in fact the centre was tepid. This is very basic stuff. All mine went straight into the bin. Never again!"

"Celebrating a Big birthday with 10 of our closet friends . Arrived in good time so we could have a drink in the bar before the food. Staff were excelent in both the bar and resturant , the desk staff were excelent too , they had arranged with the resturant staff to dress our table with flowers and balloons i had dropped off the day before . Great service and lovely food . Many thanks. I have to admit there was a discrepency at the end of our afternoon tea , But this was dealt with in a very professional way and i cannot thank everyone concerned enough . 10 out of 10 We returned to the resturant again today and all i can say is Thank You to the staff and the Resturant for such great service. "We went last night to taste the new flavor and can honestly say that it was the best food I ever tasted. a large selection was presented from various starters to an excellent filet of bark meat. the service was friendly and efficient.A great thank you tom and team and especially chef romaine their kitchen is excellent, we had a great evening and will be back."

"We have beaten a Saturday afternoon to midday on a laune without looking at the menu, just want a pint and some light. After we saw the menu, we realized that it was tapas style and friendly expensive, but anyway, after we set ourselves when we didn't want to leave rude and uneasy. the waiter was really about the menu and the specials (was really impressed by his memory and we ordered a few small plates between us and a few pints. eating was nice, really different and not something they expect to find there. we thought it was a little steep in the pricing, but pay £60 for a light lunch is a bit much. it's somewhere where I might go to an indulgence in the evening instead of eating a quick lunch. it is also a really nice place, very cozy!"
