"Most delicious Italian food I have ever tasted in Australia. Rich tomato flavours with hints of cheese. Their seafood dishes are heavy with seafood flavours. I was extremely full after my meal. I brought a tub of rich creamy ricotta from their store. 110% would go back again."

"DON'T GO THERE. very slow coals, which hardly cooked anything. All the raw stuff took about 30 mins to be edible. Then we were given a-2-hour limit at an all-you-can-eat buffet? Very sneaky. There's not much selection left and it was never top up. The leftover meat were mainly bones and fat, whether it's chicken, pork or beef. Not much selection either at the cooked food section, other than kimchi, raw mushrooms and a tray of fried chicken wings. To pay almost $180, just to eat fried chicken wings and a few pieces of slow-cooked bbq pieces? We felt really ripped off. Having friendly staff doesn't make up for lack of quality. It's such a shame as it has so much potential being the only Korean restaurant in Marrickville. I'm a local and I'm definitely not going back. Rather hop on the train and travel to Campsie (3 stops) and have an amazing Korean BBQ experience at any of the Korean restaurants there."

"Papaya Grill is one of those consistently good restaurants for when you have meat cravings but also want to avoid the consequences of heavy meat consumption (heartburn/gout/calories). That's the essence of their food - satisfying without being overwhelming. I would recommend their ox tongue, a delectable, melt-in-your-mouth experience, while a side plate of mint and lettuce elevates the dish to a place you did not think possible. The quails are also excellent - but might be a bit confronting for those of you who are reluctant to eat food that looks like a cute little bird. We the Food Hunters have no such qualms, having been reared in environments where the eating of internal organs and the like was de rigueur, but for those more sensitive about the appearance of their food, I would suggest the salads and soups which are reliably well balanced in their flavours and textures."

"If you understand ricotta you'll know that in Sydney the very best ricotta by a mile is made by Paesanella. I went there to buy it fresh from the factory but friends who were lunching at the cafe downstairs asked me to join them. I'm glad I did. I sampled a few pastas and then coffee and gelato. All was home made Italian style and perfect. Highly recommended"

"We had the Family Special. HUGE serve for $30. Quality OK. Chips and salad were really good and the crumbed calamari cooked beautifully. Not the best fish and chips I have ever had, but a lot of it, tasty and value for money."
