"Called in the the restaurant upstairs for lunch on a Friday. The plate of bread, beetroot dip, olive oil and olives was a nice and tasty way to start whilst perusing the menu. We decided to start with the special anchovies - yummy salty deliciousness they were too. We followed with the blue eye fish starter and the baked onion stuffed with (amongst other things) goats cheese and bacon - both really good (photos attached). Our son had his usual steak and chips and rated the steak 9 out of 10.Not cheap but a great lunch washed down with good beer brewed on the premises."

"I have visited Langham hotel and have afternoon tea with my friend before. It was wonderful. This time I went again, it was very disappointed. Really bad service by a waitress called Sona. A lady dress like a manager had an awful service as well. Didn't enjoy that at all. Call for service several times, didn't come immediately. As my mom was still having her meal, both waitress and manager try to take her plate from her. Very displeasing, really rude and unpleasant experience. As my mom's friends drank all their water, no refill for water. However, I saw the waitress refill other customers' cup. As I booked for five people, the table was extremely small, not suitable for 5 people at all. The waitress done some many wrong things, kept dropping things. From what I can see, she is lack of Proper training. I had two high tea today with my friend. As the waitress served our high tea, didn't even explain what we are having, just put it down and left. The meal my mom was having, just so TINY and over priced. Such disappointment. Bad service, over priced food, unpleasant experiences. Won't ever visit again."

"Cosy atmosphere, sitting at the window on a cold winter's night having delicious Italian style food cooked by Jo and Mick: The seafood pasta was really generous with lots of big prawns and chorizo in a creamy tomato sauce. We saw the pizza dough being...kneaded by Jo before it was baked and brought to the table very quickly, with juicy ingredients and a crunchy thin crust. The waitresses are warm and friendly too, and were ever so helpful, even when a patron left something behind. We stumbled upon this restaurant and decided to stop for dinner instead of heading for pub food good choice! We bought wine by the glass and loved the pinot noir. I will tell others about this, as the prices are good too."

"Dishonest. Went with a voucher that specifically mentioned fish curry. Then got told that vouchers did not include any seafood - so we could not have fish curry. We had food left over and the women serving would not give us take away containers. The food was good but I don't understand why the waitresses want to be so nasty."

"The tapas cupboard is great here. but not sold completely to the price. not only was this a convenient work-lunch location it has a nice smoker area on the front for free day drinks. so in torn, but content."

"This place is great for a few drinks but the food is awful and expensive for what it is. A couple of tips for you, the burger should be the same size as the bun. Secondly you cannot offer ONE rib cooked quickly so it...is tough for 30 bucks, it’s just not cricket dear boy!! Will I be back, absolutely for a drink, will I eat, no, I will pop over the road to The Lord Nelson!"

"I went to Henry Deane which is located on the roof of Hotel Palisade. First and foremost the view of the harbour bridge is spectacular! The interior is very neat even though the building is old. The food are small plates perfect for sharing. The oysters were fresh, kingfish was well presented but the highlight was definitely the lamb cutlets. Service was friendly and attentive. It isn't a large venue so bookings are recommended. Also there's a set of steps to climb even after the elevator ride."

"Ambience is ok. Staff are attentive and polite. Quick service, generous portions. However the food is consistently below average across all courses. I haven't seen a pista kulfi with such a bright green colour."
