"I've been to Chu Shing many times but never for Peking Duck and never on an early Friday evening. Both were a pleasant surprise! Apparently lots of people have a tradition to go there on a late Friday afternoon, and quite a number of people were there when we went early, around 6 pm. As a result, there was a nice atmosphere of family and couples. We ordered our duck "three ways": wraps, soup, and in a stir fry. Along with a vegetable and noodle dish, it was way too much good stuff for the two of us, but staff happily boxed it up for us to take home. Atmosphere-wise and food-wise, we both left content."

"We have eaten at the Thai Lanna for twelve years now, several times a year. The food is consistently the same delicious food time after time. We have ordered the same four dishes for all of those years. Pad Thai, Penang Chicken,Green Mango salad and steamed/sticky rice!"

"Definitely not the best Thai spot in Ottawa. Maybe in the area but not the best in Ottawa.I came here for lunch and the food was very average. Probably won't come back as there are better places in town. I had the yellow curry for lunch, the price was decent and the curry was decent as well. I also took out pad thai for my girlfriend and to be honest it wasn't anything like pad thai - simply a stirred fry rice noodle dish.The restaurant isn't own by Thai people but that isn't the problem."

"Well, regrettably, Ottawa is not blessed with great Thai restaurants...so, being a local, I had frankly given up. Perhaps too spoiled with time spent in SE Asia. Anyhow, a colleague recommended this place, so we finally decided to oblige. Went there for lunch and must...say thank goodness that we booked! The place was packed out on this Friday. The restaurant has two lunch combo options for lunch at each very reasonable. We divided to go à la carte and ordered they deep fried spring rolls, the shrimp pad thai and the curry of the day which was chicken Penang! All was very good, and certainly the best that I’ve had so far in Ottawa. Thai Basil is also good, but out of the way from the downtown core of Ottawa. We also shared of Chilean Cab Sauv for BTW, all à la carte dishes were between We highly recommend this place. We will return."

"I enjoyed ordering dim sum from a menu, which is the system during the week, but thought that with the carts I had more choices. At least I would see some dishes that were unfamiliar to me. All the food was delicious, though, and although the restaurant was busy at lunchtime, we had good service."
