"We stayed at the attached Hotel Royal William and free continental breakfast was provided but we opted to pay a bit more for a hot breakfast and has excellent omelettes each day. Good portions and very filling with lots of fresh veggies. Patricia was an...excellent and friendly sever! On our last evening we dined there as well and I had a good fillet mignon and the veal in a cream sauce was really good as was the steak/frites. Portions were small but enough compared to lots of North American places that give humongous portions without much flavour. We had nice fresh green beans and glazed carrots."

"I traveled to Quebec City on business and was looking for a place to eat as there was none in the hotel. Wandered into here and was delightfully surprised. The service is friendly and attentive. The atmosphere casual and the restaraunt tastefully decorated. The food was very good, was quick to come out and courses were nicely paced. The escargot in a Portobello mushroom cap with melted brie was phenomenal. I would happily come back here to eat."

"We went on a Friday evening and took the table d'hote seafood dish for two: its rice with filet mignon, chicken, seafood shell, different types of shrimps. It goes with two appetizers, dessert and tea or coffee. That was a lot for two people to eat and we have leftover takeout :"

"Nice place to go to eat. Some interesting options in the menu. Nothing surprising. The service takes too much time. I guess is because its popularity. If you don’t have better alternatives, this could be a place to go. If you are looking for fine cuisine, don’t go there."

"A few vegetarian&vegan options, including one with tofu, although the tofu dish wasn’t available when I tried to order, so I got the panzella salad instead. Although it was under the vegetarian section, the salad strangely came with pieces of chopped ham, but they were easy to pick out at least. Also tasted the warm Brussel sprout salad (contains ham too) and it was very good. For the end, our apple fritters dessert was yummy. Service was a bit slow and somewhat disorganized, but staff was friendly at least."

"My wife brought me to Legende for my birthday dinner. Adventurous as we are, we opted to go with the tasting plates. Essentially they bring you a six course meal, each a surprise unto itself. Everything is sourced locally, so you can truly taste the freshness. But before all that, you get a nice amuse-bouche just to get your appetite going . . . a three-part delight consisting of varied tastes and textures (from a gazpacho through to some halibut).Some highlights from our various courses . . . all were good, but these two stood out for sure :1- cricket ravioli : crunchy, with the rich taste of mushrooms2- bison : served up in a nice bed of local vegetables; certainly novel in taste (and definitely not gamey, unlike traditional venison such as deer).My only huh? moment came with the last course (dessert). It was a nice refreshing mix of berries, but it was presented as a narrow crescent on the edge of a huge (mostly empty) black plate. The attempt at art distracted from the reality of the food.Chapeau! to the wait staff. They were all very knowledgeable about the menu, and very solicitous without being overbearing.Lastly, some practical tips . . . a) There is a parking lot across the street from Legende. However, if you're not in by around 7pm, you will likely have to struggle a bit in your search for street parkingb) Right now (Aug 2017), there is a lot of construction on-going in the general area of the Route 440 on-ramp. So factor this into your travel plans if you're coming in from the westc) You are within walking distance of Old Quebec. In our case, we walked in that direction after dinner and enjoyed the fireworks as part the Fetes de la Nouvelle France."
