"Jim Milt 's Bar B-Q serves up decent, inexpensive breakfast food in a causal, laid-back environment. I arrived to my parent 's home in Tallahassee and before I even dropped by bags off, they said we were going to their favorite breakfast spot. A few minutes later, we arrived at Jim Milt 's. The parking seemed pretty full but the place was mostly empty. You seat yourself. Our waitress was around pretty quick and took our drink order. I got coffee. The coffee was pretty decent. Good flavor, bold but not burnt or old tasting. Their breakfast offerings were not extensive but covered a lot. The menu is the front of one page. They have pancakes, French toast, omelets, sandwiches and then what I ordered, The Big Combo . This comes with two eggs cooked to order, with either grits or chopped potatoes, a choice of meat and either toast or biscuit and gravy. For under $9, this was a good deal. I ordered my eggs scrambled with chopped potatoes, sausage patties and the biscuit and gravy. By the time I was on my 2nd cup of coffee, the food arrived. The sausage patties took a little extra time but came out hot and ready. The food was good, the eggs and potatoes lacked flavor. They were not seasoned at all but salt and pepper from the table helped. The eggs were fluffy and not over-cooked. The potatoes were crispy and good with ketchup. The sausage patties were really good, not rubbery or overly greasy and had a salty, meaty taste. No filler. The biscuit and gravy was also excellent. The gravy was seasoned well and had that pepper kick to it. All in all, a filling and tasty breakfast."
