"Ahh the joys of finding a new experience in Canberra! I got tipped off about Red Brick Espresso by more than one person, so despite the out of the way location I decided to make a special trip out to the 'burbs in search of a good caffeine fix and it was more than worth the effort. Red Brick Espresso stands out as you drive past the Curtin shops because of the hipster milk crates outside the cafe in a suburban shopping strip that is anything but hipster otherwise. Inside it 's warm and bathed in sunlight. Thank god, considering the Arctic-like temperatures and the howling wind outside! It 's a long narrow space; coffee machine and counter on one side, tables and benches on the opposite side and the coffee roaster and the 'lab ' on the far end. On a nice sunny day the outdoor tables are bound to be in very high demand. The decor is a little bit retro and a little bit arty with the graffiti, exposed red brick wall (get it? and retro furniture and serving plates. The vibe was just right;"

"Milk chocolate hot chocolate is good but only if you have one once a month, you can fill the sugar down your throat, but that’s just what milk hot chocolate is, but compare to kokoblack hot chocolates I rate this as 4/5, which is still acceptable, customer service is generally good, with girls engaged and make a quick chat unless they are busy. For winter in Canberra with 99% of shops closed, I’m so glad Oliver brown is open at nights and during the week"

"Love love love the service! The wait staff are sensational! They are always bust but never treat you like you're an inconvenience. My favourite is the Lamb salad but everything is delicious. It's fun to watch the busyness of the kitchen... they are a finely tunes machine. Just a nice place to breakfast/brunch/lunch."

"Coffee Lab is a straight up 5. This is hands down the best cafe I have ever eatenat. Every visit to Canberra I come here. The service is always excellent and very friendly. The food is excellent, the coffee is next level. I seriously cannot flaw a single thing. No matter if its busy or quiet its the same everytime. Baristas that know coffee and the 'no regrets' breakfast is the only thing you should order on your first visit. Seriously 3.5 on Zomato. Its a 5 all day everyday. No photo from me cause I dont wanna wait to hook in!"

"Finally got to go to Soul Cartel in The Hamlet in Braddon. I was eyeing the lobster po-boy but there seemed to be a wait for that. I tried the smoked chicken wings (passable) and the fried chicken sandwich. The sandwich had lettuce, mayo and fried chicken breast in a long bun. Filling and good value for money."

"I have coeliacs and I come here as much as possible as I trust them with gluten free diet options. The main thing I miss is fried chicken and the gluten free option here hits the spot.
