"This is a flawless country restaurant. The food, the setting and the service were all super! The goal of the chef, owner and servers is obviously to please the diners and to do so in the friendliest manner. They have orchestrated a relaxed way to present beautiful, perfectly cooked, creative food. My favorite restaurants are ones where the food on the plate is the star without drawing attention to the chefs artistry . The ingredients are great, the seasoning perfect and the presentation inviting. And so delicious! For each of the three courses, the last bite was as good as the first! We will be back on our next trip to Amboise. Bravo!!!!"

"This was recommended by the owners of the B&B where we were staying. We checked it on TA and the reviews were excellent so we booked (a near necessity). It is now open every night except Monday, but I seem to recall that in June...it was closed Mon-Wed. It is set in the middle of nowhere amidst woodland so it is not the sort of place that will get passing trade. The food, service and decor was very classy and would have given it a 5 rating, but there were a couple of dishes not available from the menu, which was not extensive in the first place. This may not be such a problem in the high season."

"I had been meaning to come here for years and finally got the chance and an opening.The hotel and restaurant is impressive! No doubt! For the price of around $165 for the average tasting menu w wine pairings - it is definitely worth the splurge!The food was inspired and the wine pairings were up to snuff although I was a little skeptical about a Sancerre w foie gras but it was fine.If you go expect to be the youngest people in the room unless you're over 75... and plan on a 4 hour experience. But it was definitely an experience to remember.Maybe stay at the hotel for the night Bc driving away in the woods after a full meal w wine was not easy :)Enjoy!"
