Epic selection of vegan cupboard food and delicious and creative soft drinks. Many delicious Asian fusion vegan dishes on their menu; I recommend the cauliflower waffles. And if you have a sweet tooth, then fat kitty is definitely one to check. Queer and alternative friendly place with a regularly growing collection of artwork available to buy also.

Took my mum based on this recommendations. Food was delicious, staff were friendly and it's a lovely atmosphere. French toast and Korean Cauliflower are legit. My mum isn't Vegan but she's already talking about coming back

Fat Kitty Cafe is the cutest, friendliest wee spot in Mt Eden. The menu food is mostly asian fusion which is a fun twist for brunch super vegan friendly and everything is very well labelled. Plenty of delicious cabinet food (including the best vegan pie I've ever tasted! and great coffee too . Absolutely love this place!

Lovely staff, reallyed loved the galley wall with beautiful art from local rainbow community. Not fully vegan but everything was very cleared labeled which is always appreciated and and the cabinet food also looked delicious. Great addition to Mt Eden.

I was fortunate to have a $30 discount coupon for Fat Kitty, so I took the chance to try out this cafe. I usually don't venture south as I live by the shore. I decided to try the Tofu Rendang Roti and it was absolutely amazing. Although I usually avoid spicy food, this dish was exceptionally delicious. I also tried some vegan cakes that were equally tasty. The menu offers many vegan options, clearly marked, and most of their dishes are vegan. The cafe also features beautiful art by LGBT artists that is available for purchase. The staff was friendly and welcoming. (Review updated on 2022-11-28)
