Avila Wine Roasting Co - Avila Beach

Paso Robles is a favorite for my wife and I, regarding wine tasting. The feeling disappointed by some of our past winery experiences during the day, we came across Manny, owner of the Avila Wine Company. We described our palates to him, and he sorted through his extensive wine selection with vintages that were exactly on the point we like. Everyone was not just delicious, but they all came with a history of wines origin. When Manny was in the industry for over 40 years, we were very impressed by his knowledge and hospitality. highly recommended, make sure to do yourself a favor and check out this place. You will not be disappointed!

Unbelievable wine tasting experience. I would highly recommend spending one hour or two there.

Looking for one more place to do some winetasting, my friend and I came to Avila wine and sat out on the patio. The owner was very kind and engaging. He took the time to explain each tasting to us in great detail and answer any questions we had. We both ended up liking two different tastings so we went home with a couple bottles of wine. A nice little spot to do some winetasting, especially so close to the beach.

We arrived here around 4pm on a Saturday afternoon. My fiance and I were the only ones there besides the owner. He was super nice and gave us so much information and background on our drinks! I did the 5 tastings of wine, and my finance got a beer. We just sat inside chatting with the owner. It was super chill, and the tastings were so delicious. The selection is unique and personalized. We walked out with a big box of beer and wine for friends and family (and obviously ourselves), but we very much enjoyed the owner's company and the laid-back vibe of the location. The location is quite small, but lots of great wines to choose from. Upon making our purchase, the owner had also printed out some additional information about the wines we got, which I thought was so thoughtful. Definitely looking forward to returning!

We often stop in to purchase our wine here when we are in the area. The prices are better than other wine shops and sometimes even lower than what you would pay at the winery. Manny has a large selection to choose from and once he knows what you like he will help you find other similar wines to taste! This is a one man shop at a vacation destination, so sometimes there's a little wait while he serves other customers, but it's worth the wait.
