"In between visits with old friends to the Rheinfall and Stein am Rhein we stopped at Da Leone for lunch. What a superb choice this was the prix fixe lunch specials were an incredible value with salad, main course and dessert. The pizza selection...is also excellent, and all the portion sizes were terrific. Now let's be clear: when you go with Swiss who are over the age of 65 who have traveled the world you can expect they have exacting standards. They too were extremely impressed. We would all definitely return. Although we ate outside in the garden the interior is also beautiful and looks like the best you find in Bella Italia. Next time definitely want to try their vitello tonnato. Take a look at this elegant espresso service (photo)...sadly these days all too rare in Switzerland. This was a real treat, especially given how much very average overpriced espresso you find all over CH!"

"Very tasty eating also friendly service and reasonable price-performance ratio. a finer kitchen in the sing is nice to see. happy again. the self-made criminal oil was excellent and gave the lattezle a certain freshness to solve this. I also think that it was the first time that the medium grass were actually medium-sized instead of medium. the gazpacho was excellent with the warm accents of pimento and garnele."

"We'd spent the day at Rheinfall and as we had to change trains at Scaffhausen decided to have a look round and also find somewhere for drinks. The cafe is located just before the Metzgerbrunnen statue/square and has a large pavement seating area. The waitress who served us was really cheerful, friendly and happy to have some banter in English - well done to her! Our drinks arrived promptly and we were happy to sit and watch the world go by for a while before moving on. OK so prices aren't cheap but where's anywhere cheap in Switzerland!"

"Unfortunately clearly under the expectations. the nüsslisalat to the appetizer was slightly sloppy, the sauce was very good but for 13.00 overall too small. I ordered the megacarving that was neither tasteful nor great. the meat had a funny taste, which is why I had to return it. because the panade did not adhere, I suspect a bad storage in the deep cooler. the cordon bleu as eratz was okay, although the Marroni-Speck filling was cold, immortal because you wanted to serve the second court quickly so that my wife did not have to eat alone. her salate as well as 'fish"
