So many recommendations for good coffee here in Newcastle, I started at Welsh Blacks because it was just around the corner from my ab&b accommodation. This is a small but classy cafe that serves a bit of food, mainly toasties and soup (winter). Enough table space to sit around 20 people or so. Coffee was good but nothing to rave about, $10 toastie was ok, it was a Saturday late morning so only 3 choices of cakey stuff left, and as it's a teeny tiny place be prepared to sit outside. There are coffee tables and stools out the front, or chairs and tables around the side.
