What User doesn't like about Sandzibar:
Ate here several years ago and thoroughly enjoyed it. Went back on this trip and it had changed drastically for the worse. Restaurant lost our reservation (hotel concierge was none to happy to hear about that). Understand from the waiter they are under new management and are in the process of renaming restaurant to "Huana Beach". "We were a group of 10, 6 adults, 4 kids, and Hugo did a wonderful job of taking care of us. We tried 5 different pizzas, each one was delicious. The food came hot, and quickly. This is definitely a perfect place to eat, outside, and great for kids. They really enjoyed seeing the chickens and roosters across the street. Thank you, Hugo"

"It's a 15 20 minute drive from the airport. Should you make the drive? Yes. And do it again and again. Everything about this restaurant is magnificent. Three of us ventured to Ixtapa to see if this restaurant was deserving of all the rave reviews. The manager Leo, the ambiance, the food, and the service all were terrific. Hats off to Chef Chava for creating a special venue with great cuisine. We enjoyed the small croquette that arrived as a gift along with our wine. Then we shared two appetizers, a plate of dumplings and the seared tuna with 7 sauces. Each was well conceived and prepared. The main courses we enjoyed were the duck, short rib enchiladas, and the steak. We all tasted the other's dinners and agreed that the food here is sensational. Not merely good, but among the finest in the region. Our server, David, helped us with his knowledge of the food choices and the many wines. He helped to make it a special night. We expect to return again soon."
