Awesome food, best coffee I’ve had in the last 2000km of driving and friendly staff. Well worth the stop!

"We had the lamb chops, the portions were huge and they were cooked perfectly. The waitress was wonderful and service great. The restaurant was very busy but service was fast. Don't hesitate going here and if you like lamb it's the best here."

"My husband and I have stayed in the cabins many times over the years and always have breakfast here--the $4.99 special. What could be better. You can eat inside or outside in the covered heated dining area. Inside the walls are covered with photos from the past and you can learn a lot about the history of the property such as it was first a grocery store, then The Lucky Inn which explains the banner overhead, finally Klondike Kate after the Queen of the North. Also the locals eat here so it has to be good. Enjoy."

"All local produce used in this small cafe where fresh foods are not easy to come by during the colder months. Incredible array of drinks and coffees and the main courses are to die for. I am not a vegetarian but the flavours satisfied my taste buds and I was disappointed that our travel plans did not allow for a return visit. The foods are prepared in interesting and unusual ways showing an understanding of flavours."

"This restaurant is close to the intersection of () and Queen Street at the edge of downtown. As the name suggests, it has an extensive offering of fresh baked goods. I suggest the cranberry/apple strudel (or raspberry/apple). The place is very plain and basic—concrete floors, paper plates, plastic forks/spoons. You order from the counter and pick it up when ready. If you do not wish carry out, seating is two picnic tables or a counter along the front window. My wife and I both had an excellent turkey cranberry sandwich on fresh baked bread. Highly recommended for a delicious quick lunch."
