"As a local, I love this place for lunch and afternoon meetings. I think it's wrong for it to lose points for not being open at dinner or late. It's a locally owned restaurant with two lovely owners. The food is good, and if you love baking, this is a great spot. My favourite is the quiche and summer berry salad. To die for."

""Italian" restaurants in touristy places often don't work out too well, but we were very pleased with our experience here. My wife had gluten free pasta bolognese, the pasta was good and the sauce excellent. I really enjoyed my gluten free pizza. We had three small grandchildren with us and the staff put up with them very well!"

"Best haddock around.... And their mushy peas are plain perfect! Great service, huge portions, good prices. What more does a guy need. Consistently excellent. Eat in or take out. Definitely recommended."

"Great, cozy cafe with good quality food and friendly service. We had cauliflower, potato and sage soup and a mixed berry scone. Both were delicious and fresh. Hard to get a seat as it’s a small cafe, but it’s well worth a visit if you’re on Bowen!"

"It's not a celiac. They have good looking GF baked goods, but they are touching in the display cases directly next to non-GF elements, in some cases. Huge cross-contamination. No separate pliers and personnel seem to have no good understanding of celiac disease. It's a shame because they have many display cases. It would not take much effort to put the GF elements in their own case and use separate pliers and prep area. I didn't order anything because I didn't feel safe. If you eat gluten-free as a choice, then it is good. But if you are medically needed to eat GF, this is not a safe food."

"Appalling service. Ordered one dessert which still hadn’t arrived after 35 minutes. I asked a waitress 3 times what the problem was and was told it was coming. It didn’t! I paid for what d already had and left. And I won’t be back again!!"
