"Chinese new year 2022. the restaurant was packed (with East Asia, also to myself, which is always a good sign) but the compromise between service and quality of food. it was so tasty, fresh, and the tee and scurry were regularly refreshed. great menu. not huge, but had everything we wanted, and some new things we had not tried before. they even grabbed my rest until home. I think this has become my new goto Chinese restaurant outside londons. it was great. highly recommended."

"Every time we visit, the queue in the Sunbeam cafe is extremely slow. The issue is with the serving of drinks, where each hot tea/coffe takes a stupid amount of time to prepare. Sometimes there have been 5 staff at the drinks counter, but only one person is able to prepare drinks at a time. It badly needs a faster process, or more machines, or one person dedicated to each machine. The staff working the machines look inept, and seem to waste time doing nothing. Last time we were there, a nice lady was very occupied with putting a pull-out barrier between customers, as soon as they entered the cafe, then retracting the barrier, and putting it back immediately the queue (eventually) move on. It just fascinated me watching, somebody kept very busy, on a seemingly pointless exercise. Maybe she could have served drinks instead?! The food is OK, just fairly expensive, for what it is. Sometimes there are other outlets outside, for drinks, but these usually have queues, or don’t do hot drinks. Come on Brooklands, sort this long-term issue out, as it really spoils what would otherwise, be a perfect day out. It has been going on for FAR TOO LONG."

"We booked up a table for 6 of us to celebrate our sons 32 birthday on Sunday 15th Jan 14:30. When we arrived the restaurant was full and we had to wait in the bar area for our table to be ready. Within 10 minutes we were seated and as we already had drinks we put in our food order. The Sunday Roasts start off at £19 for half a roast Chicken, then its £20 for Lamb, Beef or Pork. None of us had starters as we know from experience just how big the meals are. My half roast Chicken came out with a Yorkshire pudding and gravy over the meat. All our meals arrived promptly and then followed on the simply superb dishes of vegetables and roast potatoes. We all did our very best to finish off all the dishes but we failed miserably. We had two dishes of Cauliflower Cheese which was divine. The Potatoes were amazing. The whole meal is just like you would expect from traditional home cooking. With every meal came another small pot of gravy to pour over your veg etc. The food was simply divine and there is literally nothing anyone could complain about. The bar has a superb stock of ales and drinks so everyone is catered for. Booking a table in advance is paramount as this place is so popular it gets busy very quickly and for good reason. We will certainly be back again in the very near future. Thank you."

"We recently found this place and absolutely love it. Starting with cocktails: seriously the best Old Fashioned in the UK. From their the food is so tasty: calamari starter, the venison, the Caesar salad with chicken is another favourite dish. The staff are marvelous. Can’t wait to try other dishes!"

"Last night was the third time in 6 months I have been to Cote in Guildford. I am vegan. Each time the vegan food has been excellent. The main course last night was Mushroom Bourguignon and the last time it was Cassoulet, both very tasty and decent portions. The staff and service were very good, professional, efficient and courteous. Despite being a restaurant chain Cote feels like an upper end restaurant experience. Also had a vegetarian and two meat eaters in our group and everyone loved the evening."
