Lovely evening meal at The Bird in Hand recently. The staff were so friendly and the restaurant had a great atmosphere on a Friday night. They also run a cocktail happy hour until 7pm which was great! The food was delicious, in particular the sausage and mash which was full of flavour and used really high quality ingredients. Nice airy pub. Session American Pale was good. Not very busy on a Wednesday. Cauliflower ‘Pakora’ not exactly bursting with Indian flavours but tasty and pretty enough for pub food. Burger had a nice beefy patty and the fries (Koffman potatoes) were crispy and seasoned well. However the bun was really overly dry and crusty.
