A lovely warm welcome, drinks by the roaring fire. Our waitress was so friendly, keen to inform us about the provenance of the dishes and extremely helpful . It was a little chilly in the restaurant at our first table as it was only us and minus 5 outside . A table change next to a radiator and all was sorted . Regular for years and visited last week. Left due to belligerent staff asked for bottle of sparkling water and was served a glass asked for a bottle and two different staff members tried to tell me it was the same thing finishing with “ it’s only water and turning away from table “. I left to eat elsewhere. Shame used to be good place to visit. Not rushing back anytime soon to revisit the water bottle police . View all feedback.
