Stopped off twice here for lunch and will make further visits during our next sojourn on Skye. The food was great and attractively presented while our waitress Joan exhibited the best qualities of customer service we have seen in a while. Portree is a small town, and it gets crowded in the summer with tourists. Add to this mix the annual Highland Games, and all places were very busy. We decided to have lunch at the Royal Hotel out of convenience. Past the entrance (across from the visitor center), we passed a bar and entered the restaurant.
