at the moment the takeaway menu of 4pm is offered on Friday, sat, sun. great eating as usual, only we wish to sit back, but sturgeon says no.
that was a great meal, thank you. the host was welcoming and friendly, the prices reasonable and I would recommend a visit.
Stopped here for lunch on the way to Perthshire because it was dog friendly. The owners were lovely and very welcoming, and the burgurs were absolutely amazing!...

"What a find!! Behind a rather unprepossessing exterior we had gin and tonics better than anything we’d had in Edinburgh and steaks which were plump and cooked superbly. Lovely banter with the couple running the place- we were walking the St Cuthbert Way and this was our stand out meal of the whole trip!!!"

"Good food, friendly service, good value. Four of us arrived for a quick lunch before the Kelso races. I had a pastrami bloomer (sandwich). others had a big suppe, tipper pate (lots of it) and black pudding, all served immediately. the young had a nice pint of bright ale. make sure to select from all three menus. pizzas and desserts are in the drink menu. very confusing! we were surprised and disappointed to discover that face masks in Scotland are still mandatory."

"Visiting for the weekend with my girlfriend for a night away for my birthday. Not many places open on a sunday past 6pm so we visited Belters. Nothing short of belter… the hosts, Lorraine Gordon were very warm and welcoming and the food was top quality. Cheers guys. Back again soon!"

"Eating was very nice and service friendly, but unfortunately very slow. we wanted to wait for our lunch cake, but wait for 20 minutes to order it, we gave up and went. it was a bank holiday so perhaps expected, but it did not seem a lack of personal, just a strange decision to have only one person order!"

"Just out for meal with family. Greeted by friendly staff on arrival and well catered for the whole evening. Great choice on menu and very clean and comfortable in dinning room and bar. Booking recommended as it can be busy."
