"I feel as though we have been misled about the view here. The website indicated that “The rooms have views across the Loch, or the hillside behind us.” There is definitely a hillside behind our room, but it is behind a car park. We have...a second window that overlooks a wall and roof of part of the building. We booked 5 days here, immensely disappointed."

"My husband and I both had the haddock and chips with a pot of tea and fresh brown buttered bread. The fish and chips were excellent- expertly cooked and beautifully presented. In fact they were the best we’ve had in a long time. The fresh tartare sauce was delicious. We were served by a lovely attentive lady. The atmosphere was cosy on a cold Oban winter’s day. We’ll be back when we visit Oban again in March."

"The hotel is lovely with comfortable rooms, gorgeous views, and tons of charm. The restaurant also looked and smelled amazing, though we didn't eat there. But the thing that really made our stay one of the best parts of our Scottish vacation was the delightful staff. We had such a fun evening chatting, laughing, and learning about whiskies and local gins with David, who seamlessly floated between serving multiple guests and entertaining us with banter and recommendations galore. Cheers, David. An absolute pro. Thanks to Steven as well, who was also a delight to chat with and who also had great, informed recommendations for us to help us get the most of our remaining time in Scotland. Keep up the excellent work and the fun, gents. If you're going to Oban, stay at the Manor house and spend some time at the bar and/or restaurant getting to know the truly excellent staff. You won't regret it."

"The seafood was spectacular. Everything we ate was delicious, but highly recommend the smoked mussel fishcake with langoustine bisque, any of the oysters, and the scallops. Truly delicious. Also a lovely and pretty reasonably priced wine list. The prices aren’t everyday prices (we came as a special meal on holiday) but would definitely come back!"
