"I feel as though we have been misled about the view here. The website indicated that “The rooms have views across the Loch, or the hillside behind us.” There is definitely a hillside behind our room, but it is behind a car park. We have...a second window that overlooks a wall and roof of part of the building. We booked 5 days here, immensely disappointed."

"First time we have eaten there since new owners took over. Starters were very good but unfortunately our mains didn’t reach the same standard. Although well cooked I was expecting a whole lobster but only received a small half. Questioned this and was told that the menu stated the price was for a half but the waiter did agree that the font used for “1/2” was so small you needed a magnifying glass to read it. Other members of the party received an uncooked burger, a cold steak and fish that was over battered. To be fair when I raised these issues they offered to deduct the cost of our main courses from the bill, which I accepted as a reasonable solution."

"The seafood was spectacular. Everything we ate was delicious, but highly recommend the smoked mussel fishcake with langoustine bisque, any of the oysters, and the scallops. Truly delicious. Also a lovely and pretty reasonably priced wine list. The prices aren’t everyday prices (we came as a special meal on holiday) but would definitely come back!"

"I was looking for some self made fresh scones and I’ve found them here. It’s a very small café with lots of fresh cake and biscuits. The staff was lovely and the prices were totally fine."
