What User doesn't like about One Stop Caribbean Take-Out:
After all the hype about this place I was really looking forward to dining there..was an uninspiring experience. Place was very busy so sat at the dinky little bar until table became available.Bar is way too high, rather uncomfortable. Finally got a table, it feels like a cafeteria in there , tables are practically on top of each other, no ambiance and very noisy. Had a burger as they'e famous for them...average at b... read more.

The first thought running through my mind was perhaps this could very well be the next Gem that Ottawa has been missing.

"Small, charming spot, deftly run by a hands on wife and husband team that cranks out superb food and ridiculously reasonable prices. This was our first Saturday visit, the only day they serve the 18 hour smoked brisket and it was the bomb: in house...bun, pickles, coleslaw and barbecue sauce, with the regions best shoestring fries as well as a side of grilled kale and Brussels sprouts superlative.The brisket was sold out before 1 pm. The hipsters are slowly discovering this hidden gem.This is a must visit."

"My husband and I often do lunchtime dates on his day off while our son is in school. I only have so this place is perfect. I ordered the piggyback. The bun was so soft and the toppings blended so well together (pork, slaw,...onions pickles and honey bbq sauce). My husband ordered the fire drill. It reminds me of a slightly spicy club wrap with chicken, bacon, Chili pepper cream cheese, pickled jalapeños and sriracha mayo. I’m not a spicy person but it was very good. The dill potato salad with bacon, cheese, green onion and dill. It’s one of the best I’ve ever had. This place can easily be missed as its on a busy street. It has plenty of parking in the back but limited seating inside. It’s definitely a must try and perfect for a lunchtime date."
