We happened upon the Bank Street location of the Royal Oak on our most recent visit to Ottawa.The Royal Oak is a typical British pub with typical pub grub. I will start off by saying the service here is pathetic. The server was uninterested in his job and our table and seemed to not have a clear understanding of his job description. We waited and waited for service and there was only a few tables occupied. Not great. I didn't think it was possible to fuck up butter chicken... I was wrong. Bland rice, too much bread. Overall mediocre plate. Quick service though.
