"Doesn’t look much from the front as you walk through the bar to get to the restaurant. The bar is a nice place to sit for a drink and watch the world go by. They do good bar snacks too. In the corner is a huge fridge full of well hung beef and cheeses...it gives an idea of the tasty food to come!! The restaurant has a very different feel. It’s for tables overlooking the river and has a pleasant atmosphere. The staff couldn’t be more attentive. The restaurant was really busy and the staff worked hard to make sure everyone felt well looked after. We had the chef recommended meal at €30pp. It included a very nice bottle of wine. Prawn and eel salad for starter and then the most amazing steak!! The reviews say this is an amazing steak restaurant....they don’t lie. The steak is one of the best we’ve ever had. Cooked to perfection. We then had local cheeses which were delicious. The meal was not rushed. The ambience was great and if this wasn’t our last night in Potes, we’d be back!!"
