This hotel and restaurant in Reeth village is a hidden gem. We only had dinner here as we were staying nearby, dangerously close. The staff were fantastic and we had a great time chatting with them during our visit. The food was incredible and we couldn't find a single fault. Given the prices I found this restaurant rather uneven in terms of the quality of the food. The duck starter was enjoyable and the venison first rate, however the cheese was cold and uninspiring given the high quality of local cheeses available it was supposed to be local cheese but included some rather tasteless Gouda).
